Meet
Updates:
Thu 6/19 - Linda Davis
Since
the number of swimmers who have
qualified for JO's is small there
were some swimmers looking to swim
before the Orinda Meet at the end of
July.
Sierra
Nevada Swimming has a
Woodland/Solano July 12 and 13
dual venue meet scheduled... the
same weekend as JO's. Clay has ok'd
this meet if there is anyone wanting
to swim that weekend...the coaches
may not be there as there is a
Dolphin meet and JO's on different
days but it is an opportunity to
swim if you would like to
participate. The meet directors will
choose the location that the team
will swim after all of the entries
are received so we do not get to
pick the venue but they say that
they will keep the team together at
one site or the other. If you are
interested, I would advise signing
up soon as we now know how meets can
reach their entry limits...This meet
is under Sierra Nevada Swimming on
the Swim Connection website.
Orinda (July 26 and 27)... it is
now posted on the Swim Connection
website under Pacific Swimming. Once
again, if you are planning on
swimming this meet, I would
encourage you to sign up soon so
that it does not fill up before you
get entered. This is the last long
course meet of the year and the
coaches would really like to see
everyone participate if possible.
Walnut Creek (August 15 - 17)...
The meet is also posted on Swim
Connection so do not wait too long.
This will be the first short course
meet of the year....and it is "short
course" as they offer 50's for the
older swimmers too...

Misc:
The RCP Tiburon Mile
“The World’s
Premiere International Open Water Swim”
- Some of
you have heard about the open swim from
Angels Island back to Tiburon...Jon,
Stephanie and Coach Clay swam in it last
year and many have expressed an interest
in swimming in it this year. Coach Clay
thinks that it would be a fun event for
the team...and maybe a trip into the
city for the afternoon...The link to the
swim is listed below. The majority of
the entry fee is a tax donation as the
funds go to the Special Olympics. |
